Is Caesars Safe?

  • iGO License

  • 2FA Authentication

  • 85 Years in the Market

  • NBA and NHL Partner

Caesars has been in the gaming market since 1937, when Bill Harrah opened a bingo club in Reno, Nevada. The modest Harrah’s Bingo Club soon expanded to over 50 casinos scattered all over the world.

Caesars Entertainment, Inc. partnered with Eldorado Resorts, Inc. in 2020 to create Caesars Entertainment — the largest gaming company in the States.

The brand has an excellent reputations, but what makes us thrust them even more is the two-factor authentication and the latest SSL encryption software that will keep your account even more secure.

Moreover, Caesars is an official NBA, NHL, CBS Sports, and ESPN partner, strengthening the trust of the players.

With Halle Berry and JB Smoove as spokespeople for their new campaign, the brand is set to win over a lot of Ontarian players.

How Caesars Canada Works

  • Sleek Design

  • Simple Navigation

  • Easy to Use

  • Unproven Platform Reliability

The first look can make or break a brand, and Caesars made sure to leave a good impression on its users.

The brand’s site is fast-loading and truly easy on the eyes. The page theme is light with a soft font colour that won’t tire your eyes quickly. We know this isn’t a groundbreaking pro, but it certainly makes looking at your screen more comfortable.

The navigation is also very simple. You can switch between the sportsbook and casino in the top bar and sign up or login in the upper right corner.

You can also find the help section there and change your location or odds format. We appreciate this very much since changing the odds format can be buried away on some sites.

Moreover, you also have a search bar in the upper left corner in case you want to look up a specific sport.

You can see all the available sports in the left sidebar and your bet slip on the right.

Caesars Sportsbook

  • Good Live Betting Options

  • Early Cashout

  • Niche Sports Covered

  • Microbetting Markets

  • Only 19 Sports

  • No eSports

  • No Live Streaming

As expected, the sportsbook offers the most popular sports such as hockey, football, basketball, soccer, and tennis.

Caesars is betting heaven for basketball, soccer, auto sports, and golf.

caesars leagues offered

Players can bet on different international, European, and domestic leagues, such as the NHL, NBA, WNBA, MLB, NCAA, and NFL, just to name a few.

Still, it also covers some niche sports like darts, Formula 1, cricket, lacrosse, and softball.

Sadly, Caesars sportsbook offers only 19 sports, which is less than what other sportsbooks offer. For example, Unibet and BetMGM feature over 30 sports.

What’s more, the brand also doesn’t offer eSports, so if you’re interested in that, you might want to look into Betway Ontario, which is one of the best eSports betting platforms in Canada.

Betting Markets

If you decide to place a bet, Caesars Ontario offers a variety of betting types, including:

  • Moneylines
  • Parlays
  • Spread bets
  • Total lines
  • Futures bets
  • Prop bets

Of course, you also have the option to place live bets and take advantage of early cashouts.

However, the sportsbook doesn’t offer a live-streaming option. With most legal sportsbooks offering one, this is a big downside for the brand.

If you’re new to betting or unsure what these terms even mean, you can check out the “How to Bet Guide” in the help section.

Microbetting at Caesars Sportsbook

microbetting

Caesars now also lets bettors place microbets, something we really looked forward to seeing!

Thanks to Simplebet’s technology, you can now bet not only on the outcome of the entire game, but on the next drive, pitch, or bucket.

These types of bets are available for NBA, NFL, MLB, as well as college football and basketball.

Caesars Odds

The odds at Caesars sportsbook are fairly competitive. The odds depend on the sport, but Caesars is a bit wild and goes in both directions.

Sometimes it completely removes the competitors with fantastic odds, while other times, it matches the lowest odds.

Tip!

This is why we recommend you always compare the odds with other sportsbooks and choose what you believe is the best for you.

NHL Odds

Let’s compare the odds for the NHL.

Toronto Maple LeafsTampa Bay Lightning
Caesars2.051.74
BetMGM2.051.80
Bet992.101.76
Moneyline Odds Comparison

As you can see, in this case, BetMGM Canada offers the best odds for the favourite, while Bet99 offers the best odds for the underdog.

Meanwhile, Caesars has somewhat competitive odds for TOR Maple Leafs, but the lowest ones for the favourite.

Is the situation the same when it comes to Stanley Cup futures bets?

SportsbookBoston BruinsColorado AvalancheToronto Maple LeafsCarolina Hurricanes
Caesars3.807.0011.0011.00
BetMGM4.507.5010.0011.00
Betano4.757.0010.0011.00
Sports Interaction4.437.6010.8311.90

This time around, Caesars has somewhat more competitive odds, especially for TOR Maple Leafs, for which this sportsbook is outdone only by Sports Interaction.

And while we’d still like to see some higher odds from the sportsbook, Caesars is anecdotally known as one of Canada’s least limiting sportsbooks when it comes to highly profitable players.

This gives a huge advantage to the sportsbook, especially if you’re a regular bettor and you’re good at it.

Caesars Casino

  • Live Casino Games

  • Live Dealer Poker

  • 120 Slot Games

  • Small Live Games Section

  • Can’t Search Games by Providers

Just like the sportsbook, Caesars online casino is also sporting a straightforward page with simple navigation.

You can switch between featured, table, and live dealer games, or slots.

Caesars Casino
Caesars Casino

However, we weren’t thrilled with the selection.

You can enjoy some 120 slot games (including classic and penny slots), reels, video poker, and other popular casino games.

At the same time, the live dealer section offers classics such as roulette, baccarat, and blackjack, but also three card poker and ultimate texas hold ’em

Unfortunately, there’s no search bar for the casino section, but with just over 200 games neatly arranged in categories, you probably won’t even need to search for games.

To be honest, we expected a much greater selection from a brand whose name is a synonym for gambling.

  • Downloadable App Available

  • App Glitches in Peak Hours

If you prefer betting and playing casino games on your phone, the Caesars mobile app offers an excellent user experience.

The app is available for both the iOS and Android users. However, the Android app takes up way less space (46MB) than the iOS one — 114.3MB.

To download it, all you need to do is:

1.Visit the Caesars Sportsbook and Casino

2.Scroll to the bottom of the homepage

3.Click on “Get The App”

You’ll then be taken to either the App or Play Store to download the app.

You can place bets and play your favourite casino games in the palm of your hand.

Payment Methods

  • Safe Banking

  • Instant Deposits

  • Limited Payment Options

  • $20 Deposit Minimum

  • Doesn’t Support Interac

  • Slow Withdrawals

Banking is one of the most important parts of any gaming brand, so we were disappointed to see that Caesars offers a very limited range of payment options.

Players can deposit money through Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards, PayPal, and Trustly.

The minimum deposit is $20, which is significantly higher than the industry average of $10. Maximum withdrawal limits depend on the method of payment.

The maximum limits for Trustly and PayPal are $5,000 and $10,000, respectively, per withdrawal, but if you want to take out a larger sum, you can contact customer service.

Deposits are practically immediate, while withdrawals take some time.

Withdrawal requests are processed within 72 hours, and it might take additional 24 hours for the money to appear in the players’ account.

This is on par with the rest of Canadian sportsbooks and casinos, although there are faster ones.

Customer Support

  • Very Responsive

  • 24/7 Live Chat

Besides a comprehensive FAQ section, you can get help through a 24/7 live chat option on the site, or send the support an email.

From our experience, they reply relatively fast and are indeed helpful. You may even be able to get a thorough answer from a chatbot, who will greet you first.

The help section offers answers to queries like:

  • Getting started
  • Setting up your account
  • Payments
  • House rules

And it even has a guide on how to bet.

Our Verdict

Verdict

Based on our experience, we give Caesarsthree out of five stars.

Caesars sportsbook is still mainly focused on the UK market, rather than the Canadian one.

With only 19 sports and just over 200 games, it’s a far cry from the more popular Canadian sportsbooks like bet365 or Bet99.

More experienced players might want a richer experience, accompanied with live streaming that Caesars currently lacks.

Moreover, the limited payment options were also disappointing.

Nevertheless

The seamless experience, both desktop and mobile, in addition to the top-notch security the brand offers, make up for some of the drawbacks.

Knowing the brand’s reputation and international success, we’re sure they’ll keep improving their offer both in the sportsbook and casino section.

We can’t wait to see what they’ll add in the future!
