Return to Player (RTP) Calculation Audit | November 2023 | June 2023 |
User-friendliness | Better sportsbook navigation | Better casino navigation |
Upon comparing Bet99 to Sports Interaction, I felt Bet99 is the better sportsbook and live casino.
That’s because they have more user-friendly navigation, unique betting markets, and more responsive customer support
Plus, they generally have better odds for the favourites.
Regarding live casino games, I found more options from the top providers on Bet99.
Sports Interaction has more slots and jackpots.
Plus, their casino navigation is more user-friendly than Bet99.
Sports Interaction is also a good choice for faster withdrawals or more payment options.
Licensing and Brand Reputation
Both platforms have an iGO license, making them 100% legal in Ontario and safe for Canadians in other provinces like Quebec, Alberta, British Columbia, etc.
As for partnerships, Bet99 is one of the official NHL partners in Canada.
This big win for Bet99 puts them at the forefront of NHL sportsbooks in Canada.
Apart from that, Bet99 has also partnered with US Integrity to ensure fair gaming.
Furthermore, they have partnered with Low6 to provide free-to-play games to their users.
Sports Interaction also has some good partnerships.
For example, they are one of the sponsors of the National Lacrosse League.
They also partnered with St. Louis Bar & Grill to launch Wings and Wagers.
This is a one-of-a-kind partnership to improve diners’ watching and betting experience.
While both have good partnerships, Bet99’s partnership with the NHL takes the cake for me. Plus, their other partnerships aim to improve the overall wagering experience and ensure fairness.
Sports Interaction’s partnership with St. Louis Bar & Grill is innovative.
However, whether the partnership will be fruitful is yet to be seen.
Sportsbook Comparison
Odds Comparison
I’ll cover matches from the NBA, NHL, and Soccer to give you a detailed idea about the odds.
NHL Odds
Let’s start with the match between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Washington Capitals.
Next up, it is the Pittsburg Penguins and the Seattle Kraken.
For both the matches above, Bet99 has the higher odds for the favourites (Pittsburg Penguins and the Philadelphia Flyers).
On the other hand, Sports Interaction has higher odds for the underdogs (Seattle Kraken and the Washington Capitals).
NBA Odds
The Boston Celtics are flying high this season, and I am sure many of you are rooting for them.
So, here’s more about their odds for their match against the Dallas Mavericks.
In the above match, Bet99 again has the higher odds for the favourites (Boston Celtics).
Sports Interaction has the higher odds for the underdogs (Dallas Mavericks).
The above match is one of the few occasions I found the trend we see for odds differ.
Here, Bet99 has the higher odds for the underdogs (Chicago Bulls), while Sports Interaction’s odds are higher for the favourites (Milwaukee Bucks).
Soccer Odds
For soccer, I’ll take one Major League Soccer and one English Premier League match.
Inter Miami is one of the big names in the league and will hope to go all the way this year with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez featuring for them.
So, let’s start with their match against Orlando City.
Coming to the big one, the Manchester derby.
The trend looks similar for soccer as well, with Bet99 usually having better (or on par) odds than Sports Interaction for the favourites.
On the other hand, Sports Interaction looks to be the ideal sportsbook for anyone who wants to wager on a draw or an underdog victory.
Bet99 usually has good odds for the favourites, while Sports Interaction has higher odds for the underdogs.
However, note that the odds are true at the time of writing and are subject to change closer to the matchday.
User-Friendliness
One of the things that stands out about Bet99 is the ‘Top Leagues’ section in the left-hand sidebar when you use the sportsbook via desktop.
It gives you instant access to odds and other details of some of the latest tournaments. For example, you see, there’s the NHL, EPL, NBA, NCAAB, MLB, ATP Dubai, etc.
I found no such menu on Sports Interaction when browsing their website.
If you want to find the FA Cup or the Champions League on Sports Interaction, you must do it via the soccer category.
I also like that Bet99 put Responsible Gambling, Help, Education, and Chat on the top, making it easier for users to know that these helpful pages exist and they can access them anytime.
Sports Interaction does not have an ‘Educate’ section.
This makes Bet99 a better sportsbook for beginners who want to learn and wager.
I was glad to see that they do include help and customer support on the top.
However, if you want to access the responsible gambling page, you’ll have to scroll down all the way to the footer to find it.
Another thing they have in the footer that I’d like to see higher up (like on Bet99) is the ability to change language from English to French.
Personally, I also prefer the black and white interface of Bet99 rather than the blue and white of Sports Interaction, as I felt it was clearer.
However, this is my opinion, and it can vary from user to user.
The ‘Top Leagues’ menu gives quick access to the ongoing or upcoming tournaments. Plus, access to responsible gambling, chat, and educate sections is also easier than on Sports Interaction.
Betting Markets
Both sportsbooks have similar betting markets. You’ll find the main markets (money line, spread, and total).
You’ll also find plenty of game props, player props, novelty bets, etc.
However, Bet99 usually takes it up a notch closer to the tournaments and finals with unique markets.
For example, I found betting markets like the MVP Specials a few days before the 2024 Super Bowl.
This wasn’t something I could find on Sports Interaction or any other of the top NFL sportsbooks.
While both sportsbooks offer many betting markets, Bet99 offers unique markets closer to important tournaments like the Super Bowl, the Stanley Cup, etc.
Betting Tools
Live Stream
Both sportsbooks offer a live stream. However, the live stream is limited to select matches.
Hence, I’d call this a tie.
Statistics
Neither sportsbook offers a detailed statistics page like bet365.
However, the match page on Bet99 gives you some stats. It’s not as detailed, but you can see head-to-head, league standings, timeline, etc.
I did not find these stats on the betting pages on Sports Interaction.
The only thing Sports Interaction allows (that I wish Bet99 also had) is the ability to mark games as favourites by clicking on the star icon.
While marking games as favourites is neat, stats like head-to-head and standings help you make more informed bets.
Live Betting
Both sportsbooks have a similar-looking live betting page, where you get more detailed stats like timelines, stats about possessions, 3-pointers, lineups, etc.
They also have neat graphics to show you which team has possession and who called a timeout (you’ll see in the video below).
However, Sports Interaction does a better job here from the users’s perspective.
When you scroll down on the live betting page on your desktop to check the betting markets and odds, you can still see the live stats on the Sports Interaction page.
This helps you make more informed split-second decisions.
On the other hand, the live stats on the Bet99 page get hidden under the navigation menu upon scrolling.
So, you’ll have to scroll all the way up to check the stats after you scroll down to see the markets and odds. This is a bit tedious if there are a lot of markets.
Having access to live stats while scrolling to check odds and markets is great as it helps bettors using a desktop make more informed decisions.
Payment Modes
Sports Interaction is the right sportsbook for you if you want more payment options.
There you’ll find:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- Interac e-Transfer
- paywithmybank
- Bank Wire Transfer
- Paysafecard
- Apple Pay
And if you are from outside Ontario, you also have InstaDebit as a payment option.
On the other hand, the payment options are limited on Bet99. Here you have:
- Interac
- Visa
- MasterCard
- Instant Bank Transfer
- InstaDebit
Sports Interaction has more payment options than Bet99.
Deposits
Deposit Time
My deposits with both sportsbooks were instant.
I deposited on Bet99 via the Interac e-Transfer, which took less than a minute to show up in my wallet.
My deposit via Apple Pay was equally quick on Sports Interaction.
Minimum Deposits
The minimum deposit on Sports Interaction is $10.
On the other hand, the minimum deposit on Bet99 is $20.
This means that if you want a sportsbook with a minimum deposit, Sports Interaction is the right pick.
While both have quick deposits, Sports Interaction has a lower minimum deposit of $10 compared to $20 on Bet99.
Withdrawals
Withdrawal Time
My withdrawal on Bet99 took 48 hours to show up in my bank account.
On the other hand, my withdrawal with Sports Interaction showed up in my account within 35 hours.
I made withdrawals on both sportsbooks using the online banking method to get a fair idea of the withdrawal times.
Furthermore, my first withdrawal from Sports Interaction did not face any issues.
On the other hand, my first withdrawal with Bet99 returned to my wallet after a few days.
There’s good reason to believe this was due to a problem at the payment provider’s end.
However, it does not make for a good experience.
Minimum Withdrawal
Sports Interaction has a minimum withdrawal limit of $10, while Bet99 again has a higher limit of $20.
Not only are the withdrawals faster with Sports Interaction, but they also have a lower minimum limit. This is great if you are a newbie and want to avoid betting big.
Read more about payment modes, deposits, withdrawals, etc., in my detailed Sports Interaction review.
Casino Comparison
Slots and Jackpots
Bet99 has around 84 slots for Ontarians, while users from other provinces can access 317 slots.
Plus, Ontarians do not have access to progressive slots.
The difference in availability (of slots) is standard practice by all casinos due to differences in regulations.
However, even with the regulation in mind, I found more slots on Sports Interaction.
They have around 1300+ slots for all Canadian users. And yes, they have progressive slots as well.
Apart from that, you’ll also find exclusive slots (unlike Bet99, which has no exclusive slots).
Now, I do wish both casinos had filters around volatility and providers.
However, the navigation on Sports Interaction was better as they sorted games based on the top providers like Pragmatic, Playtech, etc.
Sure, scrolling so much is a hassle, but I wouldn’t mind if I were getting to play games from my favourite provider (FYI, it is Pragmatic).
I did not find any find filter or any such sorting on Bet99.
There is no way to find any game based on a provider on Bet99.
Bet99 also lists many live games under table games, making it confusing and harder to find them if you don’t want to play live ones.
Not only does Sports Interaction have more slots and jackpots, but it also sorts the games better than Bet99, making them easier to find based on preferences. Plus, they have exclusive slots.
Live Casino
Again, both sportsbooks lack advanced filters.
However, Bet99 has more games like Baccarat, Blackjack, Roulette, etc. than Sports Interaction.
In fact, their 100+ collection of blackjack games is unrivalled.
The one advantage Sports Interaction has over Bet99 is exclusivity.
Sports Interaction has a few exclusive live casino games, whereas Bet99 does not have any live exclusive games.
While I appreciate exclusive games on Sports Interaction, Bet99’s live casino takes the cake as they have more to offer.
Support
All my interactions with the Bet99 support team have been excellent.
Whether I want to know about the dark/light modes, the payment modes, etc., responses have been quick.
Navigating past the AI was also a breeze as a simple ‘Speak to Agent’ message works.
The same thing works for Sports Interaction as well.
However, their live chat is a hit-and-miss.
There have been instances where I connect with an agent quickly.
However, there have also been instances where connecting with an agent has taken around 2-4 minutes.
It is also a bit annoying that the agent on Sports Interaction wants to know my email, DOB, and full name after I already entered it to their AI Bot before connecting.
On Bet99, they only ask for my postal code. This makes sense since they want to ensure users comply with the Canadian laws.
The Bet99 support is faster to connect with. Sports Interaction can be slow at times compared to Bet99.
Bet99 vs Sports Interaction: My Verdict
To keep this simple, I’d say Bet99 has the stronger sportsbook and live casino.
Not only are their odds competitive, but they also have a better design, more user-friendly navigation, and unique betting markets closer to important matches.
Plus, they have more live casino games.
On the other hand, Sports Interaction offers more payment modes and faster withdrawals.
They also have more slots than Bet99.
Furthermore, Sports Interaction also has a lower minimum deposit and withdrawal limit than Bet99.
Hence, Sports Interaction fits the bill if you need a sportsbook with fast withdrawals and more payment modes or a casino with many slots and jackpots.
