The Goal
Your job is to beat the dealer without going over 21. That’s it. Get as close to 21 as possible without busting, and you’re in a good spot.
Card Values
Number cards are worth what they show, face cards (Jack, Queen, King) are worth 10, and Aces are flexible—they count as 1 or 11, depending on what helps your hand.
How a Round Works
You start by placing your bet, then get two cards. From there, you can hit (take another card), stand (stay put), double down, or split if you’ve got a pair.
What the Dealer Does
The dealer has their own rules. They’ll hit until they reach 17 or higher, and always stand on 17 or more. You’re playing against them, not the other players.
Blackjack Payouts
Hit a natural blackjack (Ace + 10-value card) and you’ll usually win 3:2. That means a $10 bet pays $15. It’s one of the best payouts in the game.
Push or Bust
